Iron Man

I just got back from seeing the movie, Iron Man, in theaters. It was a really fun movie! It was definitely not similar to any superhero movie I've seen.  The special effects were fantastic and there were even some funny parts. The only thing that bothered me a little bit (I'm pretty picky sometimes) was that there were some things in the movie that would be pretty much impossible in real life. I guess that's true about all Sci-Fi movies, but I don't think it makes sense to stand in the middle of multiple bomb explosions and survive with barely a scratch. So I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys an exciting action film and isn't looking for anything logical.

You will (probably) only like this movie if:

you enjoy movies with lots of explosions, and you don't mind movies that sometimes make no sense

Bringing Up Baby

Last night I saw the old comedy, Bringing Up Baby. I thought it was really funny and entertaining. Like Harvey, I can see how they would never make a movie like this today, but I still think it was really fun to watch. Some parts were pretty silly, so if you're not into silliness, you might not like this movie. But I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes old comedies like this.

Psycho

Yesterday I saw Psycho, and although I was only half paying attention (I was doing my homework while I watched) I was still reminded of what a great movie it is and why it's my favorite. I honestly (and obviously) believe that this is one of, if not, the best movie ever made. In my opinion, everything about it is well done. I even know someone who likes this movie who doesn't particularly enjoy most Hitchcock films. I would definitely recommend this to almost anyone. So if you haven't seen this movie, go and see Psycho (but not the 1998 remake).

The Ninth Gate

Last night I finished watching The Ninth Gate. There were many things that I did not like about this film. For a Mystery/Thriller movie, The Ninth Gate was pretty boring. If you're looking for exciting action, you'll have to look somewhere else. Not only was this film pretty boring, it was extremely confusing. In the middle of the movie I thought they might explain everything towards the end. But that is not the case. The ending is strange and awfully confusing. Even thought this movie was boring and confusing, I still wanted to finish watching it to see what would happen in the end. So I wouldn't really recommend this movie to most people.

You will (probably) only like this movie if:

you don't mind movies that are confusing, and you don't mind movies that don't have much action

The Terminator

Last night I saw The Terminator. I thought it was really entertaining and exciting. The beginning was pretty confusing, but almost everything was explained towards the end. The movie was really fun and I think most people who enjoy action films would like it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind lots of shooting or some gore.

Harvey

Last night I saw the movie, Harvey and I really really enjoyed it. It is obvious that they would never make a movie like this today. And I think that many people would think that this movie is a little strange, but I found it very fun and entertaining. If you have some sort of imagination, you would probably enjoy this movie.

you don't mind movies that are a little strange/silly, and you don't mind movies that are a little slow

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Today I actually went out to the theaters to see the new Indiana Jones movie. I am a big fan of Indiana Jones, and at first I was worried that this movie would not fit in with the first three because it would be directed towards a different audience. After seeing it, I can honestly say that this movie actually fits quiet nicely with the first three movies. Anyone who is an Indiana Jones fan would definitely enjoy this. It's not too different and it's not too similar to the other three films. I would definitely recommend this movie to almost anyone.

you enjoy action movies, you like the first three Indiana Jones movies

Glory

We finished watching this movie today in our history class. It was pretty entertaining, and very sad. Some parts were a little bloody, and some battle scenes were a bit intense. I really enjoyed watching it though. Since we were just learning about the civil war, it made the movie even more interesting. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys historical movies or war movies.

You will (probably) only enjoy this movie if:

you don't mind movies that are sad, you don't mind movies with intense battle scenes, and you don't mind movies with some gore

Night of the Living Dead

Last night I saw this horror movie for the first time. It was pretty creepy at some parts. It also had some gore, but since it was black and white it was slightly less gruesome. This movie was also kind of cheesey at some parts since it was such a low budget film. I still enjoyed it though and thought it was pretty scary.

You will (probably) only like this movie if:

you don't mind movies that are kind of cheesey, you enjoy scary movies, and you don't mind movies with some disturbing parts

West Side Story

Last night I watched West Side Story which I had not seen in a very long time. This is probably one of the best musicals ever. All of the songs are really unique and fun. The movie is really entertaining and eventually pretty sad. Anyone who is a big musical fan should see this (although they probably already have). This movie might be a little hard to watch for someone who doesn't like musicals though. But in my opinion, this movie is really great.

Pitch Black

Last night I watched the science-fiction movie, Pitch Black. I really enjoyed watching it, but it seems very similar to some famous movies of its kind (like Alien). It was still really entertaining and I do usually enjoy action/sci-fi movies such as this. Of course the movie was a little confusing (pretty much all futuristic/science fiction movies are), but not confusing enough to get me lost. So I would recommend this movie to people who are fans of adventurous, sci-fi movies.

All of Me

Last night I saw another Steve Martin comedy called All of Me. I liked this movie better than The Man With Two Brains. This movie is a little less silly and the plot makes a lot more sense. It was still funny though. I would definitely recommend this movie to most people since it is a very fun film to watch.

Last night I watched The Man With Two Brains. I thought it was really entertaining and funny. This movie is probably only for people who enjoy comedies with Steve Martin. It's very silly (obviously), so if you enjoy more serious movies, you probably wouldn't enjoy this. But for those who like comedies, I'd definitely recommend The Man With Two Brains.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Last night I saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I had not seen it for a couple years and I used to watch it all the time. I really love this movie. It's so much fun and very entertaining. Also, the way the film has cartoon characters and real actors together is very cool. For some, this movie might be a little too silly, but anyone who has once been a cartoon fan could probably enjoy this movie.

Poltergeist

Last night I saw Poltergeist. For a horror movie, it wasn't too scary. It was a little strange and some parts were not explained at the end. I also thought that the ending of the movie was kind of weird. You think it's over, but then it's not. It was still an entertaining movie though.
