I just finished watching Sweeney Todd for my ninth time. Yes, I have seen this movie nine times, so obviously I think it is a good movie. =] Sadly, I do not think this film is for everyone. If you don't like musicals you shouldn't bother. And if you don't like Tim Burton-style films you wouldn't like this either. I've never seen the play version of this, but I've heard the movie is very different. I love the look of the movie. There's almost no color and the mood is very dark. It's also interesting to hear the songs since all of the actors are not professionally singers. But since I've seen it so many times, I obviously highly reccomend it (to those who like musicals and Tim Burton that is).You will (probably) only like this movie if:
you enjoy musicals, like Tim Burton movies, and do not mind blood/gore

I love how johnny depp is singing, not a professional vocalist. it's nice because it actually sounds like his voice. i agree- i love this movie, too. But the ending is very sad :(
