Last night I saw Sixteen Candles. I thought it was really entertaining but I definitely would not recommend it to anyone who thinks teen comedies are weird or stupid. I thought the movie was pretty funny. I also thought the ending felt a little weird. It felt like it ended too fast to me. But I still think it was a good movie.
Last night I also saw Beetle Juice. It was a little strange, but I really liked it. It was pretty funny, but I don't think most people would like it since it is very strange. It was a very interesting movie about the afterlife. You'd probably like it if you enjoy most Tim Burton movies.
Last night I finished watching Saboteur, another old Hitchcock movie. I really enjoyed it, but it was very similar to a lot of other movies like Young and Innocent and North by Northwest. But it was still a good movie. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Hitchcock.
I just finished watching this movie today. We've been watching bits of it at school for the past week and a half. I actually thought it was pretty good. I can definitely see why Marion Cotillard won an Oscar for best actress. The movie is pretty sad, and if you like Biographies, you'd most likely enjoy this.
I just finished watching this movie today. I thought it was good. The movie was fun, sad, and a little weird. Leonardo DiCaprio was really good as Arnie, and he was only 19 years old. I think that most people would enjoy this movie if they like dramas about dysfunctional families. I guess that's a little specific, but it's not really everyone's type of movie. I liked it though. The ending was very sad.
I finished watching this movie on Friday night. I thought it was okay. I mean, it was pretty entertaining, but it wasn't super exciting. I was a little confused sometimes and the ending was the only time the movie had lots of action. So, if you enjoy movies with lots of action and suspense, you might not like Angels With Dirty Faces. But, the ending was really good. So I'd recommend this movie if you like other movies of this time period.
I finished watching this movie last night. I enjoyed it. It was very much like a typical Hitchcock film. Made in 1937, this is one of Hitchcock's earlier films, but it was still good. Not only is it stylized like a typical Hitchcock film, the plot is very similar to later movies he made (specifically North by Northwest). But if you like Hitchcock movies, you'd most likely enjoy Young and Innocent.
I saw this movie last night and I thought it was really great. It was very sad, especially because it was based off of a real story. Sometimes it was a little hard to watch, because the people were being so mean to John Merrick (a.k.a. the Elephant Man). I also think this movie might be a little slow moving for some people who would rather watch something with a lot of action and excitement. But I would definitely recommend this movie to most people. I loooooved it so much. WATCH IT NOW! =]
I did not like this movie. I wanted to watch it because Johnny Depp was in it and I really like to watch movies he's in. But basically, the only good thing about this movie (in my opinion) was Depp's performance. If someone asked me what this movie was about, I would tell them it is about two guys on drugs. That's it. I couldn't really detect any sort of plot. Here's a summary of the movie: two guys are on drugs in a car, then they're on drugs at a hotel, then they're on drugs at a bar, then they're on drugs in a bathroom, etc. It's very repetitive. The movie also made me a little nauseous. The camera angles are often crooked and there are some scenes that are very...swirly. But, the special effects were very cool. I wouldn't recommend this to most people, but if you really love weird movies about people doing drugs, this might just be your type of movie.
I just finished watching Cry-Baby, one of Johnny Depp's earliest films. It was kind of funny, and really strange. I enjoyed it, but it was a little too weird for me. If you like silly movies and you like movies like Grease, you'd probably like this. I just didn't think it was my type of movie.
I just got back from seeing 21 in theaters. I haven't seen a movie in the theaters for a really long time. xD It was pretty good, but not exceptionally great. There were no huge surprises, but it was still very entertaining. If you feel like seeing a movie in the next few weeks, I'd reccomend seeing 21. It was very similar to most movies I guess. It felt like I'd seen something like it before. I still liked it though.
I just finished watching Sweeney Todd for my ninth time. Yes, I have seen this movie nine times, so obviously I think it is a good movie. =] Sadly, I do not think this film is for everyone. If you don't like musicals you shouldn't bother. And if you don't like Tim Burton-style films you wouldn't like this either. I've never seen the play version of this, but I've heard the movie is very different. I love the look of the movie. There's almost no color and the mood is very dark. It's also interesting to hear the songs since all of the actors are not professionally singers. But since I've seen it so many times, I obviously highly reccomend it (to those who like musicals and Tim Burton that is).
Last night I finished watching Seven (or Se7en, it doesn't really matter). It was pretty entertaining. It kind of had some gore that I didn't like and there were many disturbing parts. Some parts were predictable while other parts made me jump. So if you don't really like films that are sad, disturbing, and gorey, I won't reccomend Seven. But if you don't mind these things, you might enjoy this.
